So I Deleted My Twitter Account

...and had serious heart-palpitations before I pressed the button.

That's a clear sign of addiction, right?

After I clicked the ominous 'Deactivate My Account' button, I felt a whoosh of relief.  Tomorrow, and probably for a few weeks, I will have tweet withdrawals; however, I am on the road to recovery!

I still want to create BibleGateway's #VerseoftheDay word art, but instead of tweeting it, I will post on a newly created Pinterest board. If you want, you can follow here:

With all this found time on my hands, I should be able to sew a few things, too. I'm currently searching for luscious fabrics with blue & green hues to create a bed runner for my new-to-me Master Suite. Remember that Big Project I wrote about? Well, it's complete except for a few touches of paint, decor items & building the closet furniture. I pinky promise to get some good photos and show you soon. In the meantime, here's a sneak peek...

Have you thought of deleting
any of your social media accounts?

Happy Tuesday!

  1. I deleted mine too, Larri! No more kj_clem. Just didn't want to be shackled to it anymore. At least I'm not missing you there...since neither of us is on it! Love your new room. Can't wait to see more pics. :)

    1. Glad to know I'm in good company! Shackled is a good word for how I felt. Twitter had become an encumbrance of sorts for me. It felt like an idol. He'd been prompting me for a while. I'm glad I finally listened! Please let's keep in touch, though. There's always old-school email or telephone! :)

  3. I have a Twitter but rarely post there. I'm only really active on Facebook. I neglect the other ones. Less is more!

  4. I have problems just keeping up with the blog and email, so I don't do any other social media. Though with my MILs passing last year, My Guy's family is pressuring us to get on Facebook as that is how most of his siblings keep up with each other.

    1. All this social media can bog us down, Kate.
I highly recommend not adding FB. We had an account, and it was such a time-suck!
It's an easy way to keep in touch, but picking up the phone for a chat or sending an email is so much nicer. I think we get in the habit of these quick messages, and we forget how to simply connect with one another.
      Off my soapbox now. ;)
Thanks for stopping by & commenting! Looking forward to catching up on your blog now that I have no twitter & more time for blog reading. :)
