A Cozy & A Dunk

Ever have one of those days where you just 'need' to create?
I found myself fortunate to be in that state on Friday.
A few minutes of stitching set my world right again.
A cup cozy from leftover jellyroll strips.
Ahh....feels good to sew!

In other grand news, we were proud to watch Son#2
step out in faith and step into the Living Waters on Sunday.
Though his salvation came last year, his baptism is another long-awaited prayer answered.
It's difficult for teens to put their faith out there for their peers to scrutinize.
We are humbled by his obedience & proud of his courage.

What's going on in your world?

Happy Monday!

  1. I feel the need to create often and am so jealous that you took the time to do it!
Congrats on your son's baptism! As a parent, it IS nerve racking when one of your kids take a wrong turn in life and you just pray they snap out of it... Then it's a blessing to watch another of your kids take off with their faith!

    1. Thanks, Val!
I don't usually indulge, but it was a long week & creativity unleashed was much needed.

My only hope is I can give grace when the screw-ups happen. Might need some prayer on that. ;)

  2. Congratulations to Son #2 for making such an important commitment.

I haven't done any crafty sewing for weeks and the urge to create hasn't been living here for a while ...hoping that now my life is going to be looking like the new normal ( finally!) that everything falls back into place.

    How cute is your cozy!

    1. Thanks, Shay!

I know the new job has given you much lack of sewing time. Here's fingers-crossed you can get back in there & create soon!

  3. Congrats to Son #2 for taking the next step in his faith.

Fun cozy, I love the colors.

    1. Thanks, Kate!

The cozy was fun to make. I'm glad I've been able to use the jelly roll strips. They've been hanging around the sewing room mocking me after a postage stamp quilt disaster. Nice to hack them up into bits & make something out of them. :)

  4. That's so exciting about your son's baptism. Oh and I LOVE the Cozy! Too cute!

    1. I somehow overlooked your comment. So sorry about that, Barbie.
Yes, we are humbled and blessed to see the fruit of our spirits take root. :)
The cozy was fun to make. I need to sew more...soon.
      Thanks for visiting! :)
