Half Circle Skirt with Yoga Waistband

I fell in love with this fabric when I saw it at Hobby Lobby. It's from Brother and Sister Design Studio, but I can't find a link to it to give you the name. Sigh.

Since I only purchased 2 yards (1.82 m), I wanted to get the most bang for my buck & maximize its use without much fabric waste. I opted to do a little math and create a half-circle skirt...at least I think it's a half-circle. Geometry was never my strongest subject. ;) I was happy to find someone who obviously understands math better than me --> Fickle Sense

To get the swingy-swishy length I wanted, I used my hip measurements instead of waist measurements; and then to make it super-easy, I decided on a yoga waistband. Talk about comfortable! This is all I will want to wear the entire summer. Now, to make three or ten more.

Sorry for the grainy photo.
'NotMe' or "IDunno" messed with the settings on my camera. ;)

What's your go-to summer wear?

Happy Friday!

    1. Thanks, Val! It's extremely comfortable. After the initial measurements, I don't think it would take 30 minutes to whip up one of these. Let me know if you make some. ツ
