Milestone

We've reached a milestone in our marriage.
Today, we celebrate our 20th anniversary.

I tried it on, and I'm thrilled to tell you...
my veil still fits.

Happy Wednesday!

PS...I know I've posted this photo time and again. Twenty years ago, we didn't have the $$$ to hire a photographer, and a friend offered to take photos for our wedding. Would you believe this is just about the only one that turned out?...and it wasn't our photographer friend that took it? It was our best man, who grabbed his camera as we were walking to our car to get to our reception. Good memories are really all that matter.

  4. We didn't have an official photographer either. My brother did most of the photos but I love the ones my best friend did better. SHH!!

Happy anniversary! I think MY veil might still fit too!!!! I'm not going to unpack it tho to try it out until the girls get married and want to see the dress.

    1. I'll keep that secret ;) Thanks for the congrats.
I never preserved my dress. It's still hanging in the back of my closet. LittleGirl has seen it & says she's not interested. LOL

  5. Matthew 19:4-6 Jesus answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” To love and to cherish, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do us part. 20 years and a blessing to us all. God bless you and yours Larri.

  7. I love this photo. You look so happy, and so beautiful. I'm sorry you didn't have others, but really, like you said, the memories are what matter. I think of all of those who spent a fortune on photos and the marriage lasted a very short time. The marriage is always the important thing, not the wedding. Congratulations.

    1. Thanks, Sally! Yes, it was pretty much a happy day. To tell you the truth, I could have done without all the hoopla. A justice of the peace at the courthouse would have sufficed for me. DH was the one who wanted the big church wedding. You're right about the photos. The marriage is much more important. I've been beyond blessed with mine.
