Purposeless

This post, that is. It's perfectly purposeless. I might even have to change the name of this blog, because there has been absotively, posilutely no inspired seaming going on around here. I guess I'll just give you some random thoughts...

  • Son#1 begins school tomorrow.
  • Son#2 and LittleGirl begin next week.
  • There will be no schooling at home this year.
  • Everyone is nervously-excited about the upcoming year.
  • I haven't been without a kid in the house for 15 years.
  • There are grand plans for finally painting a fresh coat in every room of the house.
  • DH and I cannot agree on colors.
  • He has a better decorating eye than me.
  • I have a better HomeDec board on Pinterest to guide me. :)
  • There are too many choices on Pinterest.
  • It rained 18 days in June, and 23 days in July.
  • We've had over 20 inches of rain this Summer.
  • We're not in Seattle.
  • We did not experiencing major flooding.
  • We are thankful...though Seattle can have its rain back. ;)

So...what's going on in your neck of the woods? How's your Summer?
What perfectly purposeless presentment do you wish to share?

Happy Tuesday night!

  1. no homeschooling? I guess I have to catch up!

We just got back from a yoga festival..and are looking forward to a few more weeks of summer. Here in NJ school doesn't start until after Labor Day. We have been doing history over the summer and plan to just finish that and then take a break before starting some new stuff.

    1. Yay for not beginning until after Labor Day. I'm all for that & have never figured out why the tradition stopped. The only thing I can figure is the invention of air-conditioning. Enjoy the rest of your summer and thanks for stopping by, friend! :)

  2. First, I 'll take the rain. I love it! Wish I was living back in Seattle. Longview is great but I miss the Puget Sound. Second, we painted an accent wall in the living room. Now mind you, it was one wall - seemed like it was a top-secret, joint government program where you needed to keys to turn the thingamajigger. Should be a law against two people picking colors. To top it off once we settled on a compromise, what a word - doesn't come close to what we did - once it was on the way, it sure didn't look like the drop on the lid. Third glad to see ya back, hope you purpose to say something regular.

    1. You can have the rain, Gregg. Looks as though I'll be bringing my own sunshine where I go...it's supposed to rain every day from now until Tuesday. Sigh.

I hear ya on the law against 2 people picking paint colors. And I've yet to have a room turn out the same color as the paint chip. Guess that's what makes it exciting. :) Hey! One wall down. That's something to celebrate. :)

  3. Sounds like SC is just like Adelaide at the moment. We've had two days of downpours and here I was looking forward to the end of winter in a couple of weeks.

    1. It just didn't feel like Summer this year. And guess what? More rain is forecast from now until Tuesday. I think I need to learn how to sew umbrellas. ;)

Here's hoping the sun shines on both our little spots of the world!

  4. It has definitely been a weird August in terms of rainfall. Drama Teen will start week 3 of school tomorrow. I'm hoping we've about got the schedule down.

    1. It gets easier to follow the schedule after a few weeks. Thank goodness my kids are naturally early-risers! :) Happy Sunday, Kate!
