Hop over to This Good Steward and see all the WOW!
This Wednesday I'm working on sweeping the leaves. We live in a wooded neighborhood filled with oak, maple, hickory, and sycamore trees. They're lovely, and make this street truly special. When Autumn arrives, I pull out my broom. I love the swishing noise it makes as it scrapes against the concrete walkways.
When I'm 'doing the yard' I use the big blower on wheels to move those leaves into a pile, but I prefer sweeping. Why? Because I can solve a lot of
the world's my problems. I sweep and swish, swish and sweep, mulling over the big and little things in life. I'm alone with my thoughts and dreams. Sweeping is a wonderful thing!
And guess what? It's Fall y'all. That means I have leaves awaiting me any time I want to sweep. Take a look. This is about 10 minutes after I swept the walk. Gotta love God's sense of humor. Perhaps He's trying to teach me a lesson in patience...or endurance. ☺
What are you working on today?
Psst...stop by tomorrow...I'll have tutorial
on Burnt-Edge Flowers!
