United States Code Title 4 Chapter 1 — The Flag
Our governor issued an executive order for US flags to be flown at half-staff (also known as half-mast) from sunup to sundown tomorrow, September 11, 2011, to honor the lives lost during the cowardly terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and UA Flight 93.
The home of Seams Inspired proudly flies the Red/White/Blue every sunny day. We will respectfully lower our flag to half-staff tomorrow. Did you know there is a 'proper' way to display your flag at half-staff?
• The flag, when flown at half-staff, should be first hoisted to the peak for an instant and then lowered to the half-staff position.
• The flag should be again raised to the peak before it is lowered for the day
