At 7:07 this morning, I rubbed the gritty feeling from my eyes and sat up in bed. Inhaling a deep breath, I smelled coffee wafting down the hall. Still feeling a bit sleepy from a restless night, I found DH sipping his coffee in the den.

I just felt run-down, for no good reason. Feeling a bit empty, and not even wanting to go about my usual routine, I opted to turn on the computer instead of reading my Bible. I sent up a quick prayer, like a slingshot aimed toward heaven..."God, please forgive me. I just don't feel like reading Your word today. I need something to get me going again. I'm on empty."

Do you ever feel that way? Empty? Not wanting to do anything? Just...depleted and devoid? What do you do when you feel this way? How do you fill up and renourish your spirit? Well, God answered my precipitous 'empty' prayer almost as expeditiously as I sent it.
Scrolling through my email, I found one from Women of Faith via BookSneeze . Bloggy Friends, I am SO excited!

I've been selected to attend a

"Women of Faith is a faith-based women's organization encouraging women of all ages and stages in life to grow in faith and spiritual maturity through a relationship with Jesus Christ and an understanding of God’s love and grace."

Watch the video to get an idea of what I'll be attending.

I get to take my sister, J-fer, with me. We've been squealing like school girls this morning, planning our trip to Atlanta. She's my Bible Buddy, whom I bounce off thoughts about the verses I've read. Even though she lives in another town, we chat almost every day. More often than not, after conversing about children and family life, our dialogue begins to weave over into a more spiritual nature. We discuss situations and what the biblical perspective might be. She's a great encourager, even though she is my 'baby' sister. ☺

Are you feeling empty? Do you need some 'girl' time? Come join us in Atlanta! We'd love to meet up with you! Even if you can't make it to Atlanta, there are MANY conferences scheduled around the country this Fall.

I can't wait! I've gotta finish putting the Flurry Quilt together, 'cause I feel the need to stitch up some new outfits! ☺ A girl's gotta look fashionable, right? Here's more information about the Women of Faith Conference...just click on the image to visit the http://www.womenoffaith.com/ website.

Have you ever attended a Women of Faith conference?
Would you consider attending a faith conference?
How do you renew your spirit when its depleted?

Happy Tuesday!
