Giveaway and a Review

Oops! It's afternoon already, and I said "Check back this morning."  Sorry about that. Chalk it up to life getting in the way. Durn kids. I don't know why they need food and clean clothes to get through the morning. :o)

Book Review

I was anxious about reading this second book in what I hope is Kristen Heitzmann's new series of the people of Redford. You know how you fall in love with characters, and want to read more about them? With Indelible, you are given that opportunity!

While I thoroughly enjoyed the twists and turns of Indivisible, I found Indelible to be much more gripping a novel. Perhaps it's because I'm a Momma, and there are children involved in the suspense. I had trouble putting this book down, especially because I loved the new characters as much as the ones I met in Redford before. I found them to very real, with past (as in crazy life choices in their youth) lives that shaped their current situations. Ms. Heitmann did an excellent job writing on touchy subjects without using gratuitous scenes and foul language. Thank you! ('cause really...don't we see enough of that on the NEWS these days!)

Cody, the little 3-year old boy we meet on the first few pages, has a spirit of courage that completely endeared him to me. Natalie's gift of sculpting is described so well, I almost want to pull out some clay and create a masterpiece. Trevor's painful past and humble present make me thankful for a not-so-wild few years as a teen. And to 'see' all my favorites again...Jonah, Tia, and Sarge, to name a few; was like receiving a phone call from an old friend and catching up where we last left off. I loved everything about this story, and encourage you to give it a read.

The Giveaway
Actually, I'm going to give you an opportunity to read Indelible. Waterbrook Multnomah accidentally sent me two copies of this book. When I emailed them about it, they told me to give it to a friend. I could think of no one I'd rather give it to than one of you.

Here's the giveaway...a brand-new copy of Indelible, a gently-read review copy of Indivisible, and a custom-stitched, personalized with name or monogram, fabric bookmark.

Disclosure: I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review. The opinions are my own. They twisted my arm and told me I had to like it! ;o) I was not required to write a positive review.
