Au Courant Crafting - Birthday Banner

In an effort to In an effort to actually CREATE instead of
simply reading and being inspired,
Thursday's posts are all about my latest crafting efforts.

Technically, I haven't crafted this week; however, I crafted almost EVERY DAY last week.
Since I didn't post all my crafts from last week, I'm showing them today.

Following this fabulous tutorial at Splitcoaststampers, I cut the triangles for LittleGirl's Birthday Banner.
The bright blue is cardstock, and the print is just scrapbook paper.
Wanting to make it a little more frilly, I used my wavy blade scissors for the top triangle.

Scrapbooking really isn't my thing, so I needed help creating the letters.
Calling one of the Greatest Scrapbookers I Know,
I begged and pleaded for help was invited over to use Grandma's scrapbook implements.
Who wouldn't want to visit here? It's a Craft Haven!

After testing many colors, we decided black cardstock would show best.
Grandma punched out letters on her Sizzix while I worked on gluing
the banner together.

umm...I think we're missing a letter
After assembling each pennant, we used the ribbon paper-punch on the top center of the triangles.
Using hot pink/lime green grosgrain ribbon, I strung the pennant.
And voila! LittleGirl's Birthday Banner is complete!

And here it is at LittleGirl's Party...

What have you been crafting this week?

Do you create scrapbooks
or use scrapbooking tools to create other crafts?
Happy Thursday!
