Thursday Concatenation

I'm woefully behind in my correspondence. If you've left a comment or sent an email and I've yet to reply, please be patient. I will get back to you very soon...pinky promise. :o)

It's been an incredibly busy week at the house of Seams Inspired...and not one moment of it has been crafty! I'm experiencing serious separation anxiety from my sewing machine. If all goes according to my crafty plans, I'm hauling DH, the kids, and perhaps even Dexter, over to Yiayia's for a visit. Then I'm returning to my sewing studio! Can you hear the Hallelujah Chorus blasting from my blog? It's belting out a round from Handel in thanksgiving and jelly rolls finally arrived! I can begin my journey into quilting. I'm so stinkin' excited, I can barely stand to be beside myself. Want to quilt with me? I'm playing / learning with Rachel over at p.s. i quilt., whom you may have met last Thursday. Come on! Let's make a quilt together! :o)
Thursday Concatenation
I love to read blogs and look at so many different websites!
There are wonderful blogs that I have found.
Even though we don't write about the same subjects,
or necessarily share all the same interests, we're connected by our blogs.
I have many interests, and therefore, read blogs on all sorts of topics.

That's CONCATENATION...a series of interconnected or interdependent things or events.
In an effort to share and connect the blogs/sites I enjoy reading, I'm featuring three of them each Thursday.

Kirsten is a bloggy friend whom I met through Favourite Things Friday. I love her blog! She whips up the most wonderful concoctions from her kitchen. You never know what recipe you might find:  Lemon Pound Cake, Chocolate Tart made with ingredients you already have in your cupboard, Pork Tenderloin with fresh Asian relish. If you're mouth isn't watering now, it will be when you stop by for a visit. Her photos are inspiring. You'll want to don your apron and spend some quality time with your neglected mixer. There are many facets to Kirsten and her Cooking blog. As a mom of three children, she can relate to other busy moms and the need for quick, healthful, and wholesome meals for the family. Now where is that recipe for Chocolate Tart...I need a choco fix!
Have you noticed some changes around my blog? ;o) I needed a change, kind of like rearranging the furniture every season. While Jenieshell is no longer an 'active' blog, there is so much information to glean from her pages. She has FREE Blogger templates to spruce up your blog. If you're like me and more interested in creating your own designs, stop by and check out Jenieshell's Tutorials. While I love some of those 'techno-geeky' blogs that write out all this html code, Jenieshell's tutorials are for beginners who just want to mix things up a bit. It's the basics written in 'girl' format that's easy to understand.
While I don't watch much television, I do like to watch old movies during down time. TCM, or Turner Classic Movies, is a favorite movie station. I love that there are no commercials! When checking out their website, I recently discovered I can type an actor's name into their search engine and find a list of all the actor's movies. What's better, is I can then click on the movie and find out when it is scheduled for television viewing. And what's even better than that? TCM has brilliantly designed an alert feature. Just click the "Remind Me" button and type in your email address. TCM will let you know a week before, and even 24 hours before your movie will air. Right now, thanks to a bloggy friend's recommendation, I have Ernest Borgnine's Marty set on my Remind Me list.
What are you up to today? Have a favorite old movie? Favorite website?
Drop me a line and tell me about them. :o)
Happy Thursday!
