Sew and Tell Friday

I'm ecstatic that I actually have some items for AmyLouWho's Sew and Tell Friday! This week's finishes are for an 18" (aka American Girl) doll. I stitched up a couple of skirts and a vest. I created a shirt pattern, though it was a Sew Fail. That one will have to be re-drafted. If you click on the photos, you'll be taken to the original posts that also include my FREE patterns. These are for personal use only. If you stitch one up and blog about it, please remember good Blogger Etiquette and reference my site. Thanks so much! It feels good to be back Sewing and Telling! :o)

Half Circle Skirt

This is an easy-peasy one-seam project using only a scrap of fabric! With a hook-and-loop tape closure, this will stitch up in under 20 minutes. I call it my Christmas Quickie:  Half-Circle Skirt.

Lined Doll's Vest

While a quick project, this Lined Doll's Vest requires a bit more time than the Half-Circle Skirt. However, in just about an hour, you can create a complete ensemble for your 18" Doll. The trickiest part of this project is turning it right side out. I love the look of the houndstooth pattern! Isn't it amazing how just adding some length and changing the fabric choice can make such a big difference in the look of the Half-Circle Skirt?
