Thursday Concatenation

I love to read blogs! There are so many wonderful blogs that I have found. Even though we don't write about the same subjects, or necessarily share all the same interests, we're connected by our blogs. I have many interests, and read blogs on all sorts of topics. That's CONCATENATION...a series of interconnected or interdependent things or events. In an effort to share and connect the blogs/sites I enjoy reading, I'm featuring three of them each Thursday.

Gospel-Driven Disciples
Don't let the name throw you or scare you off. If you're looking for a thought-provoking blog to read, look no further. Gregg at Gospel-Driven Disciples knows his Bible! And he's more than happy to answer even the tough questions you might have. He'll back up his answers with Truth, while never passing judgment. Over the last couple of weeks, he challenged us to read through the book of Romans. Whew! That's a toughie! His new challenge begins tomorrow, October 1st, by reading the book of James. Gregg was even kind enough to send out an email outlining his plan. If you've never picked up a Bible, or even if you have, James is a fabulous book. Here's what Gregg wrote:   There are five (5) chapters to the epistle of James. here are also five (5) Saturdays in the month of October. What I would like to challenge you with is to read James chapter one (1) on October 1st. Then on Saturday, October 2nd I will summarize the salient points in the chapter while you make your comments, share your concerns and/or questions. Beginning on October 3rd read chapter two (2) each day during the week. On Saturday, October 9th I will summarize and you can make your comments, share your thoughts, and ask questions. We will do this for October. We will read the next chapter each day of the next week and then get together on Saturday for summary and sharing. We will end up reading chapters two (2) through five (5) seven times...Can you imagine how much you can glean, meditate, and apply if you read each chapter seven (7) times during the month of October? I know you can do it; it only takes about seven (7) minutes or so to read a chapter. Remember, repetition is the mother of learning. Come join Gregg (and me!) at Gospel-Driven Disciples this month. You don't need a Bible to participate. You can find every translation you want here:  Bible Gateway

Bossy Betty
If you like to drink your coffee with a bit of irony and a giggle, click over and see Bossy Betty's blog. (Isn't that great alliteration!) Betty and I met through our Kansas connection. She's a real-life farm girl who is now a California girl. She's currently interviewing new mirrors for her Bathroom Renovation. Her take on life is extraordinary. If you're reading this in your work cubicle, be warned:  You'll probably laugh aloud, so wait until the boss is on the other side of the office.

Aumie Does It
Autumn "Aumie" is another bloggy friend I met through a blog hop. She's only been blogging a short while, but my oh my, can she craft! She takes the ordinary and turns it into fabulous! She made the cutest little votive luminary out of a Coke (or as she calls it, "pop") can. Hers is an adorable snowman, though I'm thinking stacked pumpkins for Halloween. Any opportunity to craft and drink some Dr. Pepper, right? Stop by and show Aumie some bloggy love. You'll be inspired!

I've been pondering these Thursday Concatenations a bit. Would you like to share your favorite blogs? Is anyone interested in participating in a blog hop with this theme? Leave me a comment or drop me an email if you are. I'll create a linky party for Thursday Concatenation. I might even get really creative and create a cute button to go along with it. :o) Happy Thursday!
