Interrupted Lunch

I actually got some sewing done yesterday! My machine missed me. I could tell, because she hummed along and didn't miss a stitch. :o) A while back I had used a scrap of denim to practice my embroidery machine skills. I used that scrap, personalized for Son#1, along with a scrap of flannel to make a pillow for aforementioned son. It was a quick, yet satisfying project. I'm 'sew' happy I can join Sew & Tell again. It's been a long, three weeks.

Look what we found outside on a glorious Fall day...

Son#1 was taking out the trash yesterday, when he ran back to the house and excitedly said, "Mom, you gotta see what I found! Bring your camera!"

It seems we interrupted lunch for this little guy. He's munching on a caterpillar, who was still wriggling around even though half-eaten. Are you saying, "Eww!" or are you as fascinated by nature as I am? After capturing this image, I walked around to the other side for a different angle. Check him out! He looked right at me!

God made ...everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:25
