Armor of Light

I've been studying Romans with The Gospel Driven Disciple, Pastor Gregg. Have you ever read through the book of Romans? I've read bits and verses here and there, but never chapter by chapter. It's tough! The first few chapters were so difficult to understand. As many have commented, it will take years to dig in and study, and we'll still have questions. :o) Chapters 12 and 13 are a lot easier to read. They're like a handbook for Christians. I'm still stuck with the imagery of Romans 13:12:

The night is nearly over; the day is almost here.
So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and
put on the armor of light.

Doesn't it make it easier to start your day, knowing you can accomplish all God wants you to do, if you'll just remember to put on the armor of light? It does for me! As a wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend, carpool driver, neighbor, and all the other titles I have, gearing up for each day is no easy task! I'm encouraged by this verse. Put on your armor today. Your armor of light. God will take you through your day, shining His light, love, and grace through you. Happy Wednesday!

If you're visiting today, Welcome!
Please leave me a comment, so I know you stopped by for a visit. :o)
