Sew and Tell Friday

There's not been much sewing this week. My life managed to spin a bit out of my control...DH received some scary (he doesn't like for me to talk about it on my blog, keep him in prayer please)health news, we had a big storm blow through, and the AC went out (read yesterday's post for an important preventative tip!). Whew! I did manage to start and finish a blue Pikmin. The little Pikmin family for Son#1 is complete!

Now, Son#2 and LittleGirl want a family of their own. You would think that boys, 12 and 10, wouldn't want stuffed toys; however, I found the 'why' behind their requests. They're making a movie that coincides with the video game from which these creatures are derived. :o) I cannot begrudge them when they are using these little guys for something so creative. Totalling about 60¢ to make each one, my pocketbook can handle it too. You know, I don't think you can really tell the difference between the $10 store-bought Pikmin and my home-sewn guys. I stitched up the blue and white guys.

Now, I have a question for you, my blog friends. What is the best housewarming gift you received? I have several to give...New Neighbors, and two family friends who have moved. Do you prefer personalized items or food gifts? Leave a comment, and then go check out everyone's completed projects for the week.
