Work In Progress

I'm super excited about this Work in Progress. I love it when I'm able to put the idea from my brain into an actual wearable concept! I found this material at NeedleNook Fabrics while visiting Wichita, KS.

Black/white is my absolute favorite. It's a classic look that can be dressed up or down easily. I usually shy away from Geometric Prints; however, I just couldn't resist this stretch poplin. When I first saw it, I immediately envisioned a flirty pleated skirt!

I've completed most of the steps of this self-drafted pattern:  Yoke, Pleats, Invisible Zipper, Fitted Waistband. To finish, I need to hem the skirt and sew in a hook at the waist. Hopefully, I'll have it hemmed by tomorrow. Can't wait to wear this! Happy Sewing!
