Snaps from the Reunion

I was standing back, just taking in the sight of my family...there were over 100 of us gathered at this reunion...Four Generations of Walter's and Gertrude's Family...Kids, Grandkids, Great-Grands, and even Great-Great Grands. They would've been so proud to share the day with us.

Here's a snap standing at the edge of my Aunt Mary's front yard / farm looking back at everyone:

When I turned around 180°and looked beyond the farm, here's what I realized I miss about Kansas...
W I D E   O P E N   S P A C E S where you can see for miles. Wichita is in the distance, about 16 miles away.

Here's a closer look:
While I appreciate the South for all its beauty and lush, green landscapes; I long to have a little piece of land where my eye can span uninterrupted for miles. That, and a few chickens. :o)

LittleGirl is hovering and begging for some new shorts, so off I go to whip up a pair for her. Happy Wednesday and Happy Sewing!
