Mother / Daughter Gowns

LittleGirl has been 'begging' me to stitch up Mother / Daughter outfits for us. I found some yummy knit fabric at the NeedleNook in Wichita that will be perfect for nightgowns. It's a deep purple with light lavender butterflies and flowers. Not exactly my favorite, but LittleGirl loves purple.

As I was pondering my design, I decided to draft something very easy and quick to sew: A band, two wide straps, and gathered 'skirt'. I began cutting when LittleGirl walked into the room and said, "Ooh, Momma! That's so pretty fabric! Know what? You could make us Mother/Daughter outfits with it! Would you, Momma? Oh, please, please, please!"

LOL! Great minds think alike. LittleGirl is sew excited. I hope to finish these this AM. It's raining right now, so no chance for mowing the lawn. Shucks. I guess I'll have to sew! Happy Wednesday!

Got them finished! They turned out 'sew' well. I love it when an idea comes together. LittleGirl couldn't stop smiling. They're very comfy. We'll be wearing these quite a bit throughout the summer.
