Awake My Soul

I have no fever this morning, Hallelujah! A little stuffiness and slight cough remain. I think I've turned the corner. I slept off and on last night. Whenever I became coherent, the lyrics of a certain song kept running through my head...Awake My Soul and Sing of Him. Isn't that a beautiful thought to have? Praising God in everything sounds easy enough, but how often do we actually praise Him when we're at our lowest points? It's something I aspire to do. I'm still working on it. Being sick and quarantined to my room has made me appreciate my sweet husband and kids. Tim kept the house running...maybe not the way I would do things, but the walls haven't crashed in around us. The kids stayed up later than normal, and I can't tell you what the weather was like because I saw one child dressed in shorts and another in long pants and furry boots :o) They probably all ate unhealthy food and whenever they wanted, but they were fed. I'm thankful to God for giving me such a loving and supporting spouse, especially when life doesn't go the way I planned.

By the way, the lyrics belong to the song, Crown Him with Many Crowns, which has been newly arranged by a couple of very talented guys from Brookwood. (Thank you Adam and Don!) It's not anything like the traditional version, but I have to say I love it. It's upbeat and enjoyable to sing. If you'd like to hear it in full, here's the link: Crown Him Video
